screw-on head / knights promo / dvd ads dec 31-jan 6 / today
Lionsgate will release the SciFi Channel special The Amazing Screw-On Head onto DVD on February 6th 2007, including widescreen and full screen versions, a few featurettes and a collectible comic book for only a $14.98 SRP. Neat.
ABC is going in new and crazy directions to promote their new comedy The Knights of Prosperity, premiering on January 3rd at 9PM ET. According to this press release they’ve gone to malls and purposefully dropped wallets and handed people fake expensive receipts as if they had just dropped them. lol. Too bad the Cash Grab Booth events are nowhere near me.. :p
Click the corresponding retailer for their ad for the week of December 31st 2006 to January 6th 2007: Best Buy, Circuit City & Target. There’s some pretty fair deals on The Covenant. My Best Buy had it in stock already today, but for $19.99. :/ I wasn’t planning on it, but I may just get Snakes On A Plane too.. at Circuit City with bonus disc for only $14.99. And while I’m there, I might as well pick up another Buffy season or two for only $17.99 each. :p
I awoke in the morning, got ready, and went out media buying right away..

First, I headed to Best Buy and picked up Simple Life 4. I price-matched it down from $14.99 to $12.99, then used my $5 Reward Zone and $5 Gift Card, and only paid $3.47. And it was easier than I thought. Yay.. We moved on to Kroger and got some groceries, then I actually got a hot chocolate instead of an icee. Too damn cold out today.. We returned home and watched some more TV. Then had some late breakfast and inventoried the new DVD. Grr @ it being double-sided again..
We watched Passions (haha), then I watched three more episodes of Buffy: Season 1 (I especially enjoyed “The Pack”.. again). That ended at about 4:30, so I just got online to news-gather. We had some supper, but then stayed online later than usual. I downloaded some MP3s, then prepared a new CD burn. We watched the new hour of Big Day (rofl.. okay, I wants this on DVD too), then I left my dad with the Kennedy Center Honors thing while I burned another CD.. Prometheus Hits, Volume 30
