PsX Decrypter
We’re not entirely sure about the legality of this so we’re not going to host the file. However, we will pass on the news. Dark_AleX’s PsxDecrypter, an application that decrypts/decompresses ISOs of the PlayStation Store, has been released.
Those that decry this application say t at it is illegal because it breaks Sony’s protection. Those that defend it say that it is still legal as it doesn’t include Sony’s code. Similar to cracking a cellphone, it should be legit as protected files aren’t included in the application.
Since we’d like to play it safe, we’ll just offer you folks a forum thread at the end of this post so that you can get more details and perhaps even the file, itself. In the end, the decision is up to you.
