FUNimation has tentatively set Afro Samurai, Volume 1 for DVD release on May 22nd. It will be released in two forms: a Spike TV version for a $19.98 SRP and an uncut version for a $39.98 SRP. I awoke in the morning and watched Best Year Ever (haha.. I didn’t pay much attention because it was a glorified rerun), Web Junk 20 (lol) and TMNT Fast Forward (I had low expectations for this episode.. and was still disappointed.. ugh ugh ugh). I found some MadTV and had some breakfast. My dad left.. and I fell asleep. Even when I awoke, I just looked around the channels. I did catch some X-Play though.

I awoke and looked though the newspaper’s ads for Tuesday, then had some breakfast. I watched Trinity Blood (cool), Bleach (also pretty cool), Eureka 7 (awesome), .Hack//Roots (it was okay), Gunslinger Girl (ooh, the story of a grown man and his little girl companion.. who happens to be brainwashed into being an assassin.. neat), Basilisk (cooool, I’m into this one already.. and I usually don’t like samurai anime all that much), Beakman’s World (ye (more…)

I awoke in the morning to my my alarm. I looked through the newspaper’s ads for Tuesday and found nothing better than I had already found.
We had some breakfast, then I took over the TV and watched MadTV (haha), Trinity Blood (coool), Bleach (pretty good), Eureka 7 (awesome), .Hack//Roots (great), Oban Star-Racers (two episodes for VHS transfer) and Beakman’s World (*hides*). Once that was over, I returned to my room and got online..

Check out this technical trailer for the February 6th DVD boxed set release of Dragonball Z: Season One - The Vegeta Saga Uncut. “A brand new format, just the way it was originally intended!” This will be the first widescreen release. Ever. Because the series isn’t “originally intended” to be in widescreen. FUNimation is lying. Back when they originally got the series, they cropped all four sides and pretty much zoomed in on the picture. Now with these new releases, they’re adding some extra picture on (more…)
